JBK English versus Large Schools
1. What are the cost differences for a class?
In a large school, you often pay around $300 for a class of 50 hours or $6 per hour. For international exam preparation you often pay more. Sometimes the classes have from 5 to 12 students and the class meets 2-3 times per week.
At JBK English, a two hour class of 3 students will cost each student $ 5.00 per hour. In a class of 6 students, each student would pay $ 2.75 per hour, and they can choose how many hours and days of classes they’d like per week with few restrictions.
2. What are the differences for travel and cancellations?
In a large school, you must spend time and money commuting, and your classes can not usually be canceled.
In JBK English, classes are held on the worksite, and there is a reasonable cancellation policy.
3. What are the differences in the speed of the classes?
Classes in large schools sometimes go too fast or a student misses a class and has to make up work. The result can be that the student doesn´t learn the grammar and vocabulary well enough to use it fluently in conversation before going on to the next grammar next lesson; also, English as a Foreign Language (EFL) curriculum is cumulative
At JBK English the teacher and the students can determine if they´re ready to go on to the next lesson.
